I am writing to certify that Super Alk HD (AFCO 5237), manufactured by AFCO, 550 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations.

AFCO 5237 is approved for use as a general cleaning agent on all surfaces, or for use with steam or mechanical cleaning devices in all departments. Equipment washed with solutions containing AFCO 5237 shall be subjected to a thorough rinse with potable water before processing is resumed.

AFCO 5237 is also intended for use as a shell egg cleaning compound. Eggs washed in solutions containing AFCO 5237 shall be either immediately subjected to (1) a thorough rinse of warm potable water containing an accepted sanitizer or (2) a thorough rinse of warm potable water and then sanitized by exposure to UV lights.

AFCO 5237 is approved for use in USDA inspected plants.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 5237 will have no adverse effects on the food being processed.

AFCO 5237 is free from undesirable microorganisms and is safe under the conditions of use.
