I am writing to certify that Blue Denaturant (AFCO 8554), manufactured by AFCO, 550 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations.

AFCO 8554 is intended for denaturing meat carcasses and poultry carcasses, parts thereof, poultry products and meat and meat food products intended for purposes other than human food. AFCO 8554 must be deposited in all portions of the carcass or product to the extent necessary to prevent its use as human food.

AFCO 8554 can be used to denature meat carcasses and poultry carcasses, parts thereof, poultry products and meat and meat food products intended for animal feed.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 8554 will have no adverse effects on the foods being processed.
