I am writing to certify that Sulfuric Acid 93% (AFCO 8747), manufactured by AFCO, 550 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations.

AFCO 8747 is acceptable for use as an acid cleaner in all departments of official establishments operating under the Federal meat, poultry, shell egg grading, and egg product inspection programs. All food products and packaging materials must be removed from the room or carefully protected. Such compounds may be used as general duty foam cleaner designed to clean and remove highly soiled equipment and must be rinsed thoroughly with potable water.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 8747 will have no adverse effects on the food being processed.

AFCO 8747 is free from undesirable microorganisms and is safe under the conditions of use.
