I am writing to certify that TR-150 (AFCO 9578), manufactured by AFCO, 800 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations.

AFCO 9578 is acceptable for use in dairies, meat and poultry processing plants, and other food processing plants as a boiler treatment product for treating boiler and steam lines where the steam produced may contact edible products and/or cooling systems where the treated water may not contact edible products.

AFCO 9578 is approved for use in USDA inspected plants.

All the ingredients used in AFCO 9578 are considered generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA and meet the requirements of 21 CFR 184.1139 and 21 CFR 173.310 (use of ammonium hydroxide as a boiler water additive).

When AFCO 9578 is used as a boiler treatment additive, the use level cannot exceed current good manufacturing practices for ammonium hydroxide.

When used according to instructions, AFCO 9578 will have no adverse effects on the food being processed.

AFCO 9578 is free from undesirable microorganisms and is safe under the conditions of use.
