Prism Cleaner Cl (AFCO 5575) is a chlorinated alkaline gel cleaner. Because of its unique formulation, it is a clear, low-viscosity liquid in its concentrated (undiluted) form, but when mixed with water at the recommended use concentration, it becomes a viscous gel solution. This gel solution forms a thin film of cleaner on the surface of the equipment, resulting in prolonged contact time on the soiled surface. AFCO 5575 is formulated to work in conjunction with Prism Smart Color TM (AFCO 5580) to both clean and visibly identify areas contaminated with oxidizable organic soils including fats and greasy soils, protein, blood, saccharides, aromatics, phenolic compounds and oxalates by means of oxidation by hydroxyl radicals, active alkalinity and active chlorine. AFCO 5575 is for use on processing equipment in the meat, poultry, dairy, seafood, beverage and general food processing facilities, and can be used for any cleaning job which is usually done with a conventional chlorinated alkaline foam cleaner. AFCO 5575 may be used with Prism Smart Color TM (AFCO 5580) to visibly identify areas contaminated with oxidizable food soils and as a validation of cleanliness or without it as a general gel cleaner.
