I am writing to certify that Defoamer EG (AFCO 5362), manufactured by AFCO, 800 Development Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, complies with the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and any other applicable regulations.

 

AFCO 5362 is intended for use in egg washing machines to control foam. Eggs washed in a solution containing AFCO 5362 shall be either immediately subjected to (1) a thorough rinse of warm potable water containing an accepted sanitizer or (2) a thorough rinse of warm potable water and then sanitized by exposure to UV lights.

 

AFCO 5362 is approved as a general cleaning agent for use on all surfaces and for use as a foam control compound in egg washing machines by the USDA.

 

When used according to instructions, AFCO 5362 will have no adverse effects on the eggs or food being processed.

 

AFCO 5362 is free from undesirable microorganisms and is safe under the conditions of use.
